We booked galley Slaves for our wedding on 2/4/16 and we are so glad we did!!! The staff were helpful, polite and considerate and bent over backwards to ensure we were happy!! Karen was even texting me whole she was on holiday bless her!! The van looks amazing a real delight to have on our special day, the food was fantastic!!! Great portions, fun packaging and served hot and freshly cooked!!! What more could you want?!? They confidently served our 110 guests and collected rubbish, they were polite yet friendly, professional yet approachable and we would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!!! The ice cream bike was a lovely quirky feature to our vintage themed wedding and the guests demolished the bacon buttys we had ordered for them as they danced the night away. A great firm offering a great product and at a great cost!! Thanks again Charlotte and Nick Parry

We had a terrible experience using this company for our wedding. They had agreed to provide both fish and chips and ice cream but did not have enough staff to run both, so on many occasions nobody was actually serving the icecream and lots of guests went without. I later discovered that several guests (including children) had been refused ice cream and some had even been charged again for it even though I'd already paid a considerable sum to cover all the guests there. It turned out there had been some misunderstanding about daytime and evening guests (most of whom did not arrive until after galley slaves had finished serving and all of whom knew they were not having food unless it was pre-ordered!) but when we emailed later to ask the company what had gone wrong, we were shocked by the response! Instead of explaining what had happened and communicating in a civilised fashion we received an incredibly rude and upsetting email from them. Galley Slaves accused us of cheating them and having more food than we'd paid for (they actually fed 4 fewer people than arranged due to people not coming, and hardly anyone actually got the icecream we had paid for) and they said the ice cream mix up was all my fault and that ' it was the worst wedding ever!' Apparently I should have arranged cooler weather for the day! No bride wants to hear that, the day after her special day, and their bad attitude was enough to ruin my wedding memories, not to mention seriously embarrassing us with our guests. We spent considerably more than we'd budgeted just to get this company and it was definitely NOT money well spent. The company have refused to refund the extra money they took from my guests and will not even listen to my concerns in a professional manner. What a shame as I have been told the food was very nice!
